Cathy Groulx is focused on painting the natural landscape, with close ups of rocks and water a favorite theme. She does commissioned artwork, including animal portraits, human portraits and house portraits.
About Cathy
Cathy Groulx was born in London Ontario Canada, and works in traditional oils on canvas from photographic references.
Her work is exhibited regularly in Galleries, juried shows and various other venues, primarily in Ontario Canada.
"I've showed my work in Galleries in France, The USA and Denmark and curated an Exhibition to represent Canada with the work of seven artists, including myself, that went to The Netherlands in 2009."
Even after 40 solo exhibitions and participating in over 400 group exhibitions, I never tire of showing up at my easel losing myself in my work even as I move from one canvas to the next, with a sense of wonder and mystery.

My book shows the images of the paintings that were in my solo exhibition held at The Woodstock Art Gallery in Woodstock Ontario Canada. The paintings are done in oils on canvas.
